On 29th of October our CREW had to divide between two international web series festivals: Bilbao Web Fest in Spain and UK Web Fest in UK. Natalia Paska, Assistant director was representing “Talking to Grandma” in London. After the screening of the 7th episode “Phone book”(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pe8FPXKXn3k) at The Prince Charles Cinema she took part also in the Award ceremony. Ula Zawadzka nominated for Best Performance in Comedy!
Official Selection of Rio WebFest was broadcasted live on October 15th on facebook fanpage: www.facebook.com/riowebfest . The spoken language was brazilian portuguese, but there was an English translation on the video comments. At 1 am we read that Ula Zawadzka was nominated for Best Performance in Comedy!!!
Ula Zawadzka trained in New York Film Academy, with Elizabeth Kemp (Artistic Director of The Actors Studio in NY) and Bernard Hiller (Hollywood Acting Coach), among others. She made her feature film debut in Basen (Swimmingpool), directed by Krzysztof Pawlowski, starring as Duty Manager alongside Adam Woronowicz and awarded on the Polish biggest film festival in Gdynia. She worked on more than 20 short films, 10 tv series and one feature film. As her acting diploma, she appeared in the lead role as Rosalind in Shakespeare’s As You Like It at the Royal Theatre in Warsaw. She is fluent in English. She volunteers at a dog shelter and is a proclaimed vegetarian.
Rio Webfest is much more than an awards ceremony, but an event with masterclasses, panels, workshops and a lot of networking with international producers and distributors. Rio Web Fest is the biggest international web celebration of Brazil! The second edition will take place in 1-4 December 2016 in the wonderful city of Rio de Janeiro.
Official selection of UK Web Fest!
UK Web Series Festival is the first regional touring web festival in the UK. It will take place on 29th of October starting in London and then the screenings will continue in Manchester, Birmingham and Bath.
